Abelson-Taylor partners with Omnicom’s Diversified Agency Services
Chicago-based Abelson-Taylor said it selected Omnicom because of its vast ownership of well-respected medical agencies outside the US.
"This global affiliation allows us to exercise more control over both the message and its execution and to satisfy the needs of clients who prefer the network model for global promotion," said Dale Taylor, president and chief executive of Abelson-Taylor.
"Rather than start a fledgling organization -- with all the inherent weaknesses that go with it -- we decided to look for a partner whose worldwide capabilities would match our own in the realms of creativity, quality and strategic direction," he added.
According to Rob Dhoble, President of DAS Healthcare, the two companies plan to exchange skills and capabilities on a case-by-case basis. "By creating this global partnership, we can deliver a professional communications program in a highly cost-effective manner," he said, adding that the basic advertising and promotional campaigns could be enhanced, wherever needed, with talent from other disciplines, such as public relations or medical education.
