ACME repositions amid CME shifts

The Alliance for CME (ACME) said it is repositioning itself to be an “all-inclusive education platform” geared toward serving those who educate all healthcare professionals. The broadening of its mission beyond providers of certified CME, first announced in a strategic plan the group released at its annual conference in January, is a direct response to the quality improvement movement and is intended to facilitate a system of CME, informatics and performance QI, ACME said.
“A new healthcare learning environment has emerged,” Dr. George Mejicano, Alliance president, said in a statement. “Inter-professional education is the new reality.”
