CDM Group promoted Kyle Barich to president of CDM New York and named Lori Klein, PharmD, director of client services and Chris Palmer and Ben Ingersoll executive creative directors for the shop.

Together, they will form the shop’s executive leadership team, with support from fellow partners Christine Finamore, chief digital officer; Mark Friedman, creative director; Debra Polkes, creative director; and Chris Fiocco, director of account planning.

Klein previously launched the company’s strategic consultancy, Platform Advisors, while CDM reorganized last year, spinning off its main agency as CDM New York and bringing in Barich from CDM Princeton to run it. The shop had a staff of 360, mostly based in Manhattan, with some based in the group’s LA and San Francisco offices. The aim, said CDM Group chairman and CEO Ed Wise at the time, was to lend the network’s flagship “more of a sense of completeness and identity as the borders are drawn.”

Wise, with CDM Group president Carol DiSanto and chief creative officer Josh Prince, moved up into a new layer of management overseeing CDM New York and its eight sibling business units: AgencyRx, CDMiConnect, CDM World Agency, Entrée Health, Link 9, SSCG Media Group, CDM Princeton and Platform Advisors.

“At the CDM Group level, our goal is to unleash the full potential of our total organization for the benefit of our clients. While our individual agencies are focused on being the best in their given specialty, Carol, Josh and I will be oriented toward creating integrated solutions across the specialties,” Wise said.

Omnicom-owned CDM Group is, by most measures, the largest of medical advertising and communications networks, with 1,200 employees in eight countries and a hand in marketing 40 of the top 100 prescription drugs.
