Jazz Apples has launched at two-for-one diabetes effort: post a selfie that features a Jazz apple on its Crunch to Contribute website and it will donate $1 to either the Canadian Diabetes Association or the American Diabetes Association, up to $200,000.

The promotion is sill in its early days, and although a healthy diet is part of a diabetes-friendly meal plan, posted photos are more like Travelocity’s Roaming Gnome promotion (where the gnome shows up in a variety of places) than it is a portfolio of healthy eating habits. So far, folks are sharing apple images, but not pictures that show anyone eating them.
