Sudler & Hennessey has hired multicultural marketing guru Daria Blackwell to serve in the newly created role of director of the agency’s S&H Multicultural unit. Blackwell will work with Ruben Gutierrez, managing director of S&H’s IntraMed unit, to develop professional and patient materials focusing on the patient/physician interface in the multicultural environment, she told MM&M. “We think that by focusing on the interaction the physician and the patient perspective, we can really change the way the outcomes in certain conditions,” she said.Blackwell joined S&H less than a month ago. She has spent the past five years as a healthcare consultant to agencies and pharma companies. In 2004, Blackwell was named president of the Healthcare Businesswoman’s Association, where she remains active as a member of the board of directors. From 1999 to 2001 she was president of Bozell Global Healthcare.
