Hill & Knowlton names Barton as new healthcare head

Hill & Knowlton has hired Ketchum's Sally Barton to head its New York healthcare practice. Barton succeeds John Quick as director of the New York health and pharmaceutical practice. Quick has left the company.
At Ketchum, where she reported to healthcare chief David Catlett, Barton worked on the launch of Genentech's Avastin and Tysabri, which is co-promoted by Elan and Biogen IDEC. Hill & Knowlton healthcare brands include Actonel, from Procter & Gamble and Sanofi-Aventis, and Sankyo's Benicar and Welchol, along with the Eisai PR business.
