Medscape has appointed Joan Arata to the new post of vice president, educational services, Medscape.

Site and patient recruitment solutions provider Acurian has appointed Richard Malcolm as chief executive officer. Malcolm most recently served as vice president of business development at ICON Clinical Research.

MedPoint Communications has promoted Brian McFadden to vice president and general manager of TelePoint, the web conferencing division of the company.

Fission Communications has promoted Susan Cuozzo to director, editorial and medical writing.

AAF-MED has promoted Carole Sherwood to executive director of operations. She will continue to hold the title of associate CME director and director of project management.
