Doctors do not care about your Fitbit
Doctors don't care about your Fitbit, according to tech news site VentureBeat. Doctors view the information pouring out of health wearables as “just one more data set they have to deal with, and they're already wrestling with lots of data every day,” a source told the site. The data may also be too granular for doctors to put much stake in. Moreover, hospital administrators may also be weary of health wearables, the site notes, due to privacy and liability concerns. If a practice or hospital fails to secure data properly, that hospital or practice could face HIPAA violations.
