FDA invests in clinical trial data

The FDA is putting up to $37.5 million toward improving clinical trials. Regulatory Focus reports that the regulator announced the money will go toward the Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative based at Duke University.

RF notes that the site is of note because the CTTI “includes nearly every government healthcare agency, pharmaceutical company and trade group as members, as well as several medical device manufacturers.”

RF says the goal of the multi-million-dollar effort is to improve data-driven decision-making.
