price rises headaches continue. Bloomberg reports that the cost of fixing the website, which pretty much imploded at launch because it could not handle web traffic, is nearing $1 billion. This latest estimate is up from March's $840-million price tag, which was up from the $677 million quoted in December.

CGI Group built the website, and Bloomberg notes that the firm's financial hit amounted to forfeiting around $267,000. Accenture has been tasked with fixing the site, but has upped its price to $175 million—an $84 million bump since signing the contract in January.
