AstraZeneca‘s Seroquel XR picked up an indication for the treatment of acute depressive, manic, and mixed episodes of bipolar disorder. The drug is now available in two new tablet strengths: 50 mg and 150 mg.

Takeda‘s proton pump inhibitor Kapidex received FDA approval for the treatment of heartburn associated with symptomatic non-erosive Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), the healing of erosive esophagitis (EE) and the maintenance of healed EE. It is now available in US pharmacies in 30mg and 60mg doses.
