Bayer Healthcare's Medrad unit bought a Washington State-based vascular disease device maker, Pathway Medical Technologies. The company's Jetstream franchise of devices promise a minimally invasive means of removing plaque from peripheral arteries. Medrad makes injectors, throbectomy devices and the Cotavance paclitaxel coated balloon catheter.

Online health publisher Good Health Media rebranded as Precision Health Media. The firm, which boasted 44.7 million unique users in July, according to comScore data, hosts brands including BeWell and Condition Match.
