Barr Pharmaceuticals has formally published its tender offer for the purchase of 100% of the shares of Pliva, based in Zagreb, Croatia. Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma has settled a dispute with Pfizer over the sale of Norvasc in Japan. Under the settlement, both parties will withdraw their lawsuits filed in Britain and Japan while Pfizer and Dainippon Sumitomo will sign a new licensing contract. No payments are involved in the settlement.
