Company news: InTouch Solutions, GE and MedHelp
More than one third of physicians in a survey of 100 doctors had received an iPad detail from a pharma sales rep, and 68% reported being extremely or very satisfied with the format, according to a survey of physician detail preferences by InTouch Solutions. Overall, digital detailing—information delivered in person by a rep via digital device such as a smartphone, iPad or tablet—was still the preference: eight in 10 respondents rated it as the same or better than previous methods such as paper-based visual aids. The survey was fielded online by The Harrison Group in March.
GE and social network MedHelp launched the Pic Healthy photo food diary, a mobile app designed to promote healthier meal choices. It's the fifth in a series of mobile health offerings from GE and MedHelp that has also included a pregnancy app, sleep tracker, photo mood tracker and weight loss/calorie counter app.
