The Children's Rare Disease Network and Medpedia.com have created RareSpace, an online community focused on rare childhood diseases. The site aims to connect patients, parents, advocates, researchers and medical professionals to share knowledge on rare childhood diseases that affect 22.5 million American families.

Omnicom's Diversified Agency Services unit has entered into a “strategic alliance agreement” with London scientific communications shop Chameleon Communications International. The deal involves collaboration on global healthcare assignments. Chameleon boasts a staff of 100 and offices in Manchester, Basel and New York.
