Bayer has filed a patent infringement lawsuit in US Federal Court in the Southern District of New York against Watson Pharmaceuticals, Watson Laboratories and Sandoz. Bayer's suit concerns Watson's and Sandoz's respective applications to the FDA for approval to market a generic form of Bayer Schering Pharma's oral contraceptive Yasmin.
