Bristol-Myers Squibb has signed a multi-year contract with Wolters Kluwer Health, for the provision of HIPAA-compliant prescription sales data. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to a statement, Wolters Kluwer Health's Source data-set captures almost 80 percent of prescription transactions in the US.

Abbott has announced the opening of a new pharmaceutical research lab in Singapore. The lab will study active pharmaceutical ingredients and formulations to support global regulatory requirements for new products. Abbott is also in the process of building a nutrition manufacturing plant in Singapore, which represents the largest investment Abbott has made to date in the area of nutrition.
