Aventis Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Sanofi-Aventis, will pay $95.5 million to settle Department of Justice allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by misreporting drug prices to reduce its Medicaid Drug Rebate obligations. The allegations refer to pricing on Azmacort, Nasacort and Nasacort AQ, between 1995 and 2000.

 

WeissComm Group announced the acquisition of Common Sense Media Group, a social media consulting company founded by Bob Pearson, who will become WeissComm's chief technology and media officer. WeissComm also signed a strategic alliance with Rule 13, a firm focused on social media education, research and training.
