Bristol-Myers Squibb will acquire Medarex, a biopharma focused on antibody-based therapeutics for the treatment life-threatening or debilitating diseases, for $2.4 billion. The deal includes full ownership of ipilimumab, a melanoma treatment in phase 3, which BMS called a potentially “important contributor to…future growth,” in a statement.

Digital detailer Physicians Interactive has acquired Skyscape, a mobile health information provider. Skyscape's user base exceeds one million medical practitioners, according to a release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
