DMA: survey text messages more effective than email

A Direct Marketing Association (DMA) report has found that mobile text messaging is a more effective tool than e-mail, mobile web and coupons. Text messages garnered responses from 70% of the survey group, while 30% responded to email messages. The report surveyed 800 mobile phone owners.
