FDA adds podcasts on drug safety info

The FDA has added podcasts on emerging drug safety information to its Web site as part of the agency’s efforts to speed the flow of communications concerning safety of marketed medications. The service provides a “new venue for busy healthcare professionals and patients to find drug safety information so they don’t have to look for it on FDA’s Web site or read about it in print,” said FDA commissioner Andrew von Eschenbach in a statement. The podcasts can be found at www.fda.gov/cder/drug/podcast/default.htm.
