FDA approves wrist sensor

The FDA has approved a wristband activity monitor and an electronic diary. Mobihealth News reports that the device, called the MotionWatch 8 and PRO-Diary, can be programmed to ask wearers questions at specific times and uploaded with new survey questions as needed.

The PC-friendly units share data via USB cord and also analyze daily activity.
