FDA issues public health advisory on NEJM report

The FDA will issue a public health advisory based on a June 8 New England Journal of Medicine report of an increased risk of birth defects when women take ACE inhibitors during the first trimester of pregnancy. The FDA says women should stop using them as soon as possible after pregnancy is detected.
