The American College of Cardiology (ACC) said it’s entered an agreement to cull insights from a healthcare database which includes assets from its own National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR) and that of a private research firm.

“We are optimistic this collaboration will provide new insights that will allow us to continue to move the needle [on heart disease],” said ACC’s president, John Gordon Harold, MD.

Symphony Health Solutions, will integrate data assets from NCDR with its Integrated Dataverse and provide a cloud-based environment for working with ACC scientists and physicians.

The combined asset will support research aimed at advancing scientific understanding of cardiovascular care.
