ACCME to post hours, support

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education said it would begin posting information on all accredited providers, including whether or not they accept commercial support. However, the accrediting body will not be releasing any dollar amounts reported by individual accredited providers for commercial support, advertising and exhibits or income and expenses. ACCME will publish on its website each accredited provider's: current accreditation status; total number of activities, hours and number of participants; types of activities the provider produces; participation in joint sponsorship; acceptance of commercial support and facilitation of exhibits and advertising.
