Lilly posted its faculty registry, disclosing $22 million in compensation paid to almost 3,400 US physicians and other healthcare professionals for services during the first quarter of 2009, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Novo Nordisk has named Per Falk, MD, PhD, VP for clinical, medical and regulatory affairs for North America. He joined Novo Nordisk in 2002 and was most recently associate VP of clinical development and medical affairs for diabetes and metabolism products. He will be responsible for clinical research and medical affairs in endocrinology and biopharmaceuticals, and regulatory affairs and medical communications.  

McCann Healthcare Worldwide named Charlie Buckwell (below) worldwide head of medical communications. Buckwell, who has headed McCann's Complete Medical Group for five years, assumes responsibility for the rest of the network's global med ed business. He is joined by Phill Sutcliffe, who becomes CFO, global medical communications and EMEA healthcare. Sutcliffe previously served as CFO for Complete Medical Group and Caudex Medical.
