US Healthconnect signed an agreement to acquire substantially the assets of CME producer ReachMD, including its mobile technologies, web properties and rights to its Sirius/XM Satellite Radio Channel XM 167. ReachMD launched the first national radio channel for HCPs.

Publisher and events company Medical Insight appointed Jeffrey Frentzen to the position of executive editor, effective immediately. Frentzen, formerly editor-in-chief of Plastic Surgery Practice magazine, will also be spokesperson for The Aesthetic Show, a multidisciplinary medical education meeting for aesthetic professionals.

PDI entered into an agreement to sell certain assets of its Pharmakon business unit to Informed Medical Communications. Pharmakon, with revenues of about $6 million in 2011, creates, designs and implements peer-to-peer interactive programs targeted at healthcare professionals.

CME LLC launched Advances in the Management of Major Depressive Disorders, an online educational activity developed for psychiatrists, primary care physicians, nurses and other HCPs. The activity is supported by an educational grant from specialty biomedical firm Pamlab.
