The US Supreme Court agreed to decide whether drug reps are entitled to overtime pay under federal regulations. The court said it would hear Christopher v. SmithKlineBeecham, the case of two ex-GSK reps who were denied overtime by the company and turned down at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in February. The case will likely be heard in the spring, the Wall Street Journal reported, with a decision in June.

Publicis Touchpoint Solutions is partnering with CMR Institute to implement SafeRx credentialing for sales reps and managers in compliance with the SafeRx Act of 2007, Washington, DC's law requiring licensure of drug reps. Only continuing education units approved by the DC Board of Pharmacy pass muster under the local law; CMR Institute's courses were the first to get the green light from the board.

Trinity Pharma launched Agile M, a mobile app promising sales reps, managers and execs “performance, planning and customer insights” and analytics for iPad.

Qforma launched MobileMETRx, a mobile service offering reps on-demand access to the firm's proprietary market insights, including local physician influence insights.
