Social network geared at HCPs

Serviance Media launched a new social network – TheMedicalStop.com – for all members of the healthcare community, from EMTs and hospital administrators to physicians, sales reps and service providers.

The site, described by Serviance president Phil Petree as an amalgam of Linkedin, Facebook and Meetup, lets users create a profile and post topics for discussion, instant message members and schedule live events. Petree said the community is open to anyone in the healthcare industry, and will facilitate a “triangle of communication” between different professions. As an example, Petree said a rep could post information about a drug update for physicians.
