WellPoint taps Ricochet PR as AOR

WellPoint, a national health benefits provider, named Ricochet Public Relations as its first agency of record. Duties include strategic PR services, corporate branding, media relations and reputation management.

Ricochet's account team for WellPoint is headed up by Josh Silverman, CEO, and Banks Willis, VP, healthcare and public policy at the agency's Washington, DC, office. According to Silverman, all members of the WellPoint account team are required to graduate from Ricochet's WellPoint training model.

Ricochet has worked with WellPoint for the past two years, helping to launch the Zagat physician-rating tool.

“This online survey tool, developed in partnership with Zagat and exclusively for WellPoint members, allows select members in WellPoint's Blue Cross and Blue Shield-licensed subsidiaries to share their physician experiences with other members,” says Silverman.
