GlaxoSmithKline has hired former FDA chief counsel and First Amendment specialist Dan Troy as its new general counsel. Some see Troy's hiring as part of a strategy in the company's defense against federal and congressional inquiries into its Paxil marketing practices and product liability lawsuits.
