Healthcare.gov’s take-two has begun: the revamped site, which was plagued with problems including an inability to handle the surge in 2013 traffic, now includes a shopping comparison feature that launches today, before the new Open Enrollment period begins later this week.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’s Andrew Slavitt, whom the New York Times describes as the agency’s “No. 2 official,” tells the Gray Lady the new features allow consumers to sort plans by the amount of the premium as well as the deductible. The site will also help buyers identify plans that have condition-based programs to manage illnesses such as asthma and heart disease
