JAMA editor-in-chief Catherine DeAngelis said she was duped by study authors who failed to disclose ties to drug companies. An AP article revealed that the authors of a study correlating migraines with heart attacks in women had consulted or received research funding from pharmas and had not disclosed their ties, per JAMA policy.
