Alan Holmer, the former president and chief executive of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, was elected by Inspire Pharmaceuticals to serve on its board of directors. Holmer will also serve as a member of the corporate governance and compensation committees.

Mike Vercelletto has joined Merz Pharmaceuticals' marketing team as an associate product manager. Vercelletto will manage the Appearex brand, Merz' oral supplement taken once-a-day to improve the quality and appearance of nails. Prior to Merz, he worked for NAC Vitamins as a marketing associate for a line of nutritional supplements.
