Consumer health education company MediZine is launching a new point-of-care product for the offices of specialist physicians and has hired Carla Wojnaroski, the former head of AOL Health & Living, to direct content for all its new and existing offerings.
The new product, MDminute, will offer 10 condition-specific vertical health titles to be distributed quarterly in specialist doctors offices. The Diabetes edition will roll out this month, followed by Heart Health and General Health in August. The remaining editions—including Allergies/Asthma, Dermatology, Digestion/Diet, Cancer, Arthritis and Mental Health—will launch by the end of the year. All publications will encourage patients to view content online and to sign up for individually-tailored email updates.
As executive VP, content and new media, Wojnaroski will head up and develop content on all offerings across all channels. MediZine’s existing products include the point-of-care publications Remedy, Healthy Living and Diabetes Focus—along with their integrated online components—and also the TV broadcast segments, Daily Health Updates.
Wojnaroski previously spent seven years at AOL culminating in the role of VP, general manager for its Health & Living division.
