Merck to cut 1,200 sales jobs

Merck announced plans to cut 1,200 sales jobs in the US. The layoffs follow an FDA rejection of Cordaptive, a cholesterol drug that was to be packaged with Zocor, and weak sales of Vytorin following the ENHANCE controversy.
