Nielsen Company to acquire IAG Research

The Nielsen Company will acquire IAG Research, Inc. for a purchase price of $225 million, according to a company release. Based in New York, IAG is a privately held company that measures consumer engagement with television programs, national commercials and product placements. Nielsen expects to complete the acquisition during the second quarter of 2008.
