People moves: JAMA, Lilly, Harrison and Star

The American Medical Association named Boston University School of Medicine's Howard Bauchner, MD editor-in-chief of JAMA. Dr. Bauchner is currently editor-in-chief of the Archives of Disease in Childhood, the official journal of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in the UK. He is also professor of pediatrics and community health at Boston University. He succeeds Catherine DeAngelis, who is leaving the journal after 11 years at the helm to return to Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Eli Lilly & Co. named Greg Plowman, MD, PhD head of oncology research. Plowman, who becomes VP, oncology research and SVP, ImClone Systems research, joins the company from Genentech, where he headed research efforts in anti-angiogenesis, biomedical imaging and tumor biology.

Harrison and Star named Suzanne Segal VP, customer relationship marketing. Segal, who will head strategic development of the agency's CRM programs, joins from Digitas, where she was VP director of marketing, having launched patient CRM for Shire's Lialda and worked on AstraZeneca's global CRM programs out of London.
