Outcome Health hired Nancy Phelan, a former Bristol-Myers Squibb executive, to work on commercial partnerships for the point-of-care company.

Phelan has spent most of her career in commercial roles at drugmakers, moving from what was then Schering-Plough to Pfizer and then to BMS in 2011. She is part of Outcome Health’s industry solutions team, which is led by Vivek Kundra, the company’s chief operating officer.

Outcome Health, which was named ContextMedia until earlier this year, this year raised $500 million in its first-ever financing round, with funding from Goldman Sachs Investment Partners and Alphabet’s CapitalG, among others. The company aims to put its digital tablets in 70% of doctors’ offices in the U.S. by 2020.

“In recent years, we’ve seen amazing progress in better understanding disease and creating new breakthrough therapies to treat and prevent even the most widespread chronic conditions,” Phelan wrote on Linkedin on Monday. “So it’s surprising to see that the moment of care — that core experience of the doctor-patient visit — hasn’t kept up with this pace of change.”

Phelan was not immediately available for comment.

Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly described Phelan’s role at Outcome Health. She is working on commercial partnerships.
