People news: Boston Scientific and Cegedim Relationship Management

Boston Scientific president and CEO Ray Elliott will retire on December 31, the company said. A search is on for a replacement. Elliott, who joined the medical device maker in 2009 to turn around a struggling business, said today in a statement that much of the turnaround work will be complete by year's end and that Boston Scientific is well positioned for future growth. “Therefore, I believe the time is right for someone new to take the reins.”

Cegedim Relationship Management hired Mark Caverly as a senior DEA regulatory consultant, effective immediately. Caverly spent 31 years with the DEA and is one of the nation's foremost experts in complying with the agency's regulations, Cegedim said.
