Valera Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on commercializing products for the urology and endocrinology markets, has appointed Jeremy Middleton to newly created position of VP, Business Development.
Sudler & Hennesey's (S&H) creative department has hired group copy supervisors Bill Goldberg, Robin Kerner, and Adrian Van Caneghem. In addition, Helen An has joined as a copy supervisor and Sean Sullivan as an art supervisor. On the account side at S&H, new hires include Guy Slatcher, client services, and Tasia Mullock, VP account group supervisor. Additionally, S&H has named Gene Lee associate creative director, and Mark Jeanette as a group product director at its web and technology division, Avenue-e Health Strategies. The Imprint Science division has added Meredith Grappone as senior educational director and Toula Stoffel as a medical director. S&H's other medically focused division in New Jersey, Precept Medical has added Phillip Ferguson, V.P., medical director and Denise Dugan, V.P., senior program director.
And S&H, New Jersey has added Greg Schlomann as studio director.
KPR has hired Jennifer Kaminski as SVP, creative director of art and design, a new position in which she will manage the art directors and continue upgrading the ideas and look of KPR's creative. Previously, she was creative director, design, Merkley Partners, working on the Mercedes business.
S&R Communications Group has promoted Bruce Nicoll from creative director to SVP, Creative Director. Before joining S&R in 2005, Nicoll was an associate creative director at FCB HealthCare in San Francisco and as Group Copy Supervisor at Palio Communications in New York. Additionally, Melanie Harriss has been promoted to Junior Meeting Planner and Mendy Melton has been promoted to Speakers Program Team Leader. Harriss has worked with the agency since 2005 on the Sepracor Speakers Bureau and Melton has been with S&R since 2005 as an Event Coordinator for the UCB Speaker Bureau.
Interbrand Wood Healthcare, a global brand consultancy, has hired Wes Wilkes as managing director, Healthcare Strategy in New York. Wilkes comes from Pfizer, where he worked on Celebrex, Bextra and the US HIV portfolio. At Interbrand, Wilkes will be responsible for growing the healthcare strategic brand consulting business. Also joining Interbrand Wood from Pfizer is David Sun, as Director, Healthcare Strategy. At Pfizer, David most recently was senior manager, marketing strategy and communications, US.
