Sepracor announced that Adrian Adams has been appointed president and CEO and W. James O'Shea has been appointed to the newly created position of vice chairman of the company. Adams was president and CEO of Kos Pharmaceuticals from 2002 until the acquisition of the company by Abbott Laboratories in December 2006 for $3.7 billion. Adams has over 30 years of experience in both specialty and large pharmaceutical organizations that, in addition to Kos, included careers with ICI, SmithKline Beecham and Novartis, and involved work and product launches in most therapeutic areas.
GSW Worldwide, an inVentiv Health company, announced that is has formed a global integration team to support its flow of global marketing work. The global integration team will be led by Jamie Cobb, who has been named SVP, director of global integration. Cobb, has been with the agency since 1998 in a series of ascending roles, and will be responsible for organizing and implementing all global business within the agency network. He will also identify protocols and procedures that enable the network partners to work together to maximize the value of their clients' global brands. Geoff Morrow and Gustavo Padilla Pratt will comprise the rest of the global integration team. Morrow joins GSW Worldwide as VP, director of global operations where he will be responsible for working with global network partners, brand teams and business development strategy. Prior to this position, Morrow worked for more than 15 years in international marketing for Eli Lilly in Canada. He also served as regional business manager for AstraZeneca where he was responsible for leading the urology and oncology sales force teams. Padilla Pratt, who joined GSW Worldwide in 2006 from CMV Advertising in Mexico City, will serve as VP, international creative director. Padilla Pratt will be responsible for coordinating communication between network agencies, supporting creative ideation, execution and production on assigned global brands across the international network. Before coming to Columbus, he worked for CMV, GSW Worldwide's global partner in Mexico City. For two years he served as chief creative officer where he managed global accounts for Eli Lilly and Company and Pfizer.
The Navicor Group, an inVentiv Health company and a full-service agency focused on oncology and immunology, has named Sherrie Divierte as creative coordinator, Ron Kellow as associate creative director, Patricia Vogt as editor and Merry Yee as desktop specialist. Divierte will be responsible for facilitating production of creative materials for assigned accounts. Most recently, she served as office manager at International Digital Design Group where she managed all aspects of the finance department. Divierte also served as production coordinator for Out of the Box Advertising. As associate creative director, Kellow will lead creative teams in strategic planning and initiatives for assigned accounts. Prior to joining The Navicor Group, Kellow served as vice president, creative director at FSC. In this position, he oversaw all aspects of the creative process. Kellow also worked at another inVentiv Communications company, GSW Worldwide, where he served as associate creative director. Vogt will be responsible for proofreading and copyediting in her role as editor at The Navicor Group. Vogt most recently worked as assistant editor at McGraw Hill where she edited reading programs. Additionally, she served as production editor at the Ohio Historical Society and department editor for the American Diabetes Association. Yee joins The Navicor Group as desktop specialist where she will be responsible for assisting creative teams with art layouts. She recently served as graphic designer at The Columbus Dispatch where she worked with a production and editorial team to produce the daily newspaper. She also served as graphic designer at Ohio Magazine and Ohio Publishing, as well as graphic designer at This Week newspapers.
Palio Communications, an inVentiv health company, announced the addition of a full-service video, audio and multimedia production media lab as a service to clients, and the appointment of Donald Conn as director. The media lab will build upon the on-site, broadcast production unit the agency launched in 2003. Palio also announced the appointments of Christina Gush as account executive, Marty Hardin as senior vice president/creative director, Sarah Kays as assistant account executive, Laura Romeu as senior vice president/director of brand planning, Heather Stone as project manager and Jason Verbick as senior copywriter.
TNS Healthcare has appointed David Reim to the new position of group president, US. Prior to joining TNS Healthcare, Reim founded SimStar, a healthcare advertising agency, in 1993. In 1995, he shifted SimStar’s focus to Internet-based marketing. He expanded SimStar’s services again in 2000, adding multi-channel relationship marketing. SimStar’s success led to its sale in June 2005 to Rosetta Marketing.
The Selva Group, an inVentiv Health company, has announced that David St. Peter, MD, has been named president. St. Peter joined Palio Communications in 2001 as VP/medical director and was charged with the task of building a group that could provide strategic direction and customer insight. He launched the first of several medical advisory boards, which consist of practicing healthcare providers who serve as specialty consultants to the agency, and also grew the medical strategies group, event marketing, and educational services. The Selva Group has also announced the appointment of Ann Custodero and Sarah Smack as assistant account executives.
