Shaun Urban, president of Solara, CommonHealth's managed care marketing group, has been appointed to the 2007 Northern New Jersey Regional Board of the American Heart Association (AHA). As a regional board member of the AHA, Urban will participate in the development, updating and monitoring of the AHA's regional business plan, assist with the fund-raising and special event activities, promote the work of the AHA while seeking new venues and partnerships that expand the association's presence, programs and advocacy and serve as a link between the local community and the Affiliate Board. Urban has worked professionally in the cardiovascular arena over the past six years in both his current role as president of Solara, where the company has aided several pharmaceutical brands in the cardiovascular area to secure favorable reimbursement on managed care formularies, and as a marketer at Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Urban will tenure on the board through June 2008.
The GfK US Healthcare Companies recently announced the following leadership appointments for its family of companies consisting of GfK Strategic Marketing, GfK Market Measures, and GfK V2. GfK Strategic Marketing named Brian Hull, company president following the departure of Marty Glogowski, who last month announced his retirement. GfK Market Measures appointed Bill Bowman, as VP of oncology and Jenny Donohue as SVP, multi-client. GfK V2 named Andrea Alfonsi, Steve Finestone, and Howard Jaffe, as SVP and strategic business unit heads.
