Scott Shively has been appointed to the newly created role of SVP, sales and marketing. Shively’s most recent assignment was interim president and CEO of Altana Pharma US, where he also served as SVP for Altana’s global respiratory franchise. Shively’s experience includes the role of VP, marketing at Endo Pharmaceuticals, where he provided marketing leadership in the areas of pain management, supportive care oncology, anesthesiology/critical care and neurology. Shively also was also VP of global strategy and commercial development at Mallinckrodt’s Imaging Division, and prior to that had held VP of global marketing roles at Hoechst Marion Roussel (Aventis). David Whitehead has joined Alpharma as VP of Sales. Whitehead has extensive sales experience at Bristol-Myers Squibb, including district sales manager and regional sales director in various therapeutic areas including cardiovascular, metabolics and neuroscience. He held VP level positions in government operations, hospital and institutional sales, and managed care. Whitehead’s most recent assignment was VP, sales for the neuroscience division which had revenues of $1.9 billion and a sales organization of over 700 specialty representatives. Karen Carr, Chris Finch and David Ostaszewski bring more than 35 years of combined marketing and healthcare experience to the agency. As VP of strategy and leader of imc²’s pharmaceutical and healthcare practice, Carr will provide strategic planning, business innovation and change management services aimed at driving business results and customer engagement. Prior to joining imc², Carr was an associate partner and vice president of strategy for Rosetta Marketing. At Rosetta, she worked with many top pharmaceutical brands and clients, including Pfizer, AstraZeneca, TAP, Abbott Laboratories and Allergan. Previously, Carr was a senior consultant with Peppers and Rogers Group. Finch comes to imc² as director of client services after three years at Refinery, Inc., where he served as an account director. His responsibilities included leading agency and client relations and new business initiatives with clients such as Merck and Amgen. He also successfully executed new product launch campaigns for Gardasil, Zostavax and Rotateq. Earlier in his career, Finch spent nearly five years with digital@jwt. Rounding out the list of new talent joining imc², Ostaszewski steps into the role of technology director. In this role, he is responsible for designing, planning and implementation of business solutions, as well as providing technical support, guidance, and architecture to project team members. Ostaszewski brings over a decade of experience working in the technology field in areas such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare and consumer products. Prior to joining imc², he spent more than six years at Refinery, Inc. in various roles, including technical analyst, software engineer, technology manager, and most recently as director of technology.
