NicOx announced that it has recruited Sanjiv Sharma as VP of commercial affairs. Sharma will be responsible for implementing a global commercial strategy for the NicOx portfolio and defining the strategy for establishing sales and marketing operations in preparation for the launch of naproxcinod, the first compound in the CINOD class and the company’s lead product for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis. Sharma will be based in the US and he will head NicOx’ planned US office in the central New Jersey area, where a NicOx team is expected to be based, including Joan Sutphen, who has been recently named as director of US Clinical Operations. Sharma will be a member of the NicOx executive committee and will report to Damian Marron, VP of corporate development. Previously, Sharma led the strategic marketing and business analysis function at Biovail Pharmaceutical where he was responsible for new product commercialization and strategic life cycle management across five therapeutic areas, with a special focus on the Ultram ER franchise for the treatment of chronic pain in adults and the Wellbutrin XL franchise for the treatment of depression. Prior to that he worked for 15 years at Sanofi-Aventis and its predecessor companies in a variety of positions with increasing responsibility, culminating in his nomination as director, new products commercialization; metabolism and cardiovascular; and global marketing.
Core-Create announced the appointment of Sam Lowe as creative director, copy. Lowe brings with him 21 years of B2B, healthcare and pharmaceutical advertising experience, including his most recent work as creative director, copy at The Hal Lewis Group in Philadelphia. Previous clients served includes Bristol-Myers Squibb, Baxter, Healthpoint, the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co., Johnson & Johnson, and the Dow Chemical Company. Previous to his tenure in Philadelphia, Lowe was creative director for The Lanmark Group in Eatontown, NJ, a firm specializing in the global dental marketplace.

Regan has more than 20 years experience on both the industry and the agency sides of the business, and has extensive experience in pharmaceutical product management, marketing management and professional advertising.
The Navicor Group named Denise Adams creative project director, Jamie Coulson senior art director, and Brieanna Stout as editor. Adams joins Navicor with 20 years of professional advertising, marketing and sales management experience. Most recently, she served as account manager at Baseman Printing Corporation, where she managed production orders for clients such as Lane Bryant and Bath & Body Works. Coulson will be responsible for developing creative strategies for advertising campaigns for assigned accounts. She previously served as senior art director for Antibody Healthcare Communications. Stout joins the Navicor Group as an editor where she will be responsible for editing and proofreading materials. She recently served as a freelance editor for Stonefly Communications Group.

Shayne-Ferguson has 25 years experience in the healthcare industry.
