Eisai has made the following new hires: Brian Conway as associate general counsel; Kristina Duke as district manager, hospital sales (New York City); Terri Fortenberry as senior district manager, neurology sales (Houston); David Vaught as director, regional account management (West); Barbara Williamson as associate director, facilities and administration; and Cathy Zhang as manager, government contracting. Additionally, Eisai made the following job changes: Linda DaSilva has assumed a new role as senior director, corporate planning, and Sean Spears has been promoted from director, trade relations, to senior director, pharmacy and trade relations. Wyeth Pharmaceuticals has named Hilary Malone SVP, global regulatory affairs. Malone joins Wyeth from AstraZeneca, where, since 2001, she was VP, European regulatory affairs. Prior to that she served in a variety of regulatory affairs positions at GlaxoSmithKline. Malone received her doctorate in neuropharmacology from Dundee University in Scotland followed by post-doctoral appointments in pharmacology in the UK and USA. AGENCIES Donahoe Purohit Miller has made the following new hires: Roberta Bongers joins as account executive. Claudia Kanaszyc was hired as a program manager. Pamela Anderson was hired as senior art director. Michael Hansen joins as senior production artist. Frank Macaluso comes aboard as senior art director/illustrator. Gary Bird joins as clinical communications specialist. Seidler Bernstein made three promotions: Anne Sovie moves to account supervisor from senior account manager. Michelle Amari was promoted to senior account manager from account manager. Scott Whittier was named senior writer from writer. Carbon, a CommonHealth professional advertising and promotion agency, has made eight new hires. Gail Berlese joins as VP, associate creative director/art. Jennifer Kiellar comes to the company as an account supervisor. Beth Wiesner will serve as manager of the editorial department. Gabriel Fernandez-Obregon joins as senior graphic designer. Osbaldo Rodriguez joins as an art director. Vicki Fiarman joins as business manager, print production services. Gail Schultz comes to Carbon as a senior editor. Clarissa Dickerson joins as a senior traffic coordinator. SUPPLIERS David Spaight has joined MDS, a provider of enabling products and services to the global life sciences markets, as president of MDS Pharma Services. Spaight most recently served as SVP, global sales and marketing at Fisher Scientific Products. Former president Gilbert Godin is leaving the company to pursue a leadership opportunity in the specialty pharmaceutical industry. Advanced Health Media (AHM), a supplier of technology solutions for compliant pharmaceutical meetings, speaker programs and healthcare professional interactions, made five new appointments. Leandro Crespo has been promoted to director of application development. Crespo began with AHM as a consultant in 1999. Nicole Davis was promoted to senior director of operations. Davis joined AHM in 2002 and has served as senior operations manager, operations manager and group account supervisor. Mark Gordon has been promoted to director of operations. Gordon began at AHM in 2000 as an account manager. Staci Hutchinson has been promoted to senior operations manager. Hutchinson joined AHM in 2001 and most recently was an operations manager. Kim McConnell recently joined AHM as director of learning and development. Previously, McConnell was the president of KMM Group, a management-consulting firm. The Hal Lewis Group’s president, David Winigrad, will be serving a two-year term as chairman of the AAAA’s Philly Council. The Council membership base is nearly 70 agencies from Philadelphia and Harrisburg, PA, Delaware and New Jersey.
