Wyeth has promoted Daphne Mobley to the position of VP, corporate diversity. Mobley joined Wyeth in 1992 as manager, toxicology, laboratory animal resources. In 2004, she was promoted to assistant VP, planning. Mobley started her career at Janssen Research Foundation as a cardiovascular researcher and received her BS degree in animal science from Cornell University and her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Florida.
AAIPharma has appointed Julie Ward Crocker to VP, commercial strategy and development. Crocker was previously VP, new product development, for Mylan Bertek Pharmaceuticals.
Scientific Advantage, a provider of services related to medical science liaisons (MSLs) and medical affairs, has formed MSL Advantage to fill MSL staffing positions within pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies that choose to outsource such services. Keith Morris, a pharmaceutical industry veteran with experience in the MSL and medical communications fields, has been appointed EVP of MSL Advantage, which, like its parent company, will be headquartered in Bernardsville, NJ. He will be responsible for developing individualized programs for drug and device companies that prefer to outsource the function of MSL staffing.
Lanmark Group appointed Jennifer Ort to senior copywriter. Prior to joining Lanmark Group, Ort held the position of public relations manager at Creative Marketing Alliance, based in Princeton Junction.
Pace has hired Grace Fenton, SVP, management supervisor, and Margaret Harris, VP, group director, copy. Fenton, who will oversee Pace's new Duramed professional business, came from Saatchi & Saatchi Healthcare, where she was SVP, account group director. Harris also comes to Pace from Saatchi & Saatchi Healthcare, where she was VP, group copy supervisor. She will oversee the management of all advertising and promotion copy for the Pfizer (Xalatan Worldwide), Taro and Kavo accounts.
Palio Communications has named Rick Bonnett as support specialist, Nicole Harte as assistant account executive, Maria Mitsios as account executive and Leah Warner as account supervisor.
The Hal Lewis Group hired Scott Franks, an industry strategist, to help develop and launch a new marketing initiative for fall 2006. Franks was formerly CEO and chairman of Philadelphia-based Tierney Communications (an Interpublic agency).
AbelsonTaylor has promoted Richard Campbell to senior account executive and Leslie Sarnoff to copywriter and has hired Laura Dodd as senior copywriter and Sara Pocius as art director. Campbell joined in 2001 and has worked in oncology, neurology and endocrinology. Sarnoff, previously associate copywriter, will handle copy assignments for brands in oncology and nutrition. Dodd brings 13 years of experience in the clinical arena, most recently as senior medical writer for TAP Pharmaceuticals. Pocius will handle products for the treatment of chemotherapy-induced anemia.
Adient has announced four new hires. Alyson Romanelli joins as an account supervisor. Most recently, Romanelli was a senior account executive at Cline Davis & Mann. Jim Lothrop comes to Adient as a senior art director. Prior to joining, Lothrop freelanced as an art director and ran a motion graphics and video company. Brian Conway will serve as an account executive. Previously Conway was employed at Torre Lazur McCann as an assistant account executive. Katherine Cooney joins as a traffic coordinator. Cooney graduated from Marist College in 2005 with a degree in studio art/graphic design.
MBL Communications has hired Kimberly Schneider as a sales and marketing associate for Primary Psychiatry, CNS Spectrums and Psychiatry Weekly.
Additionally, MBL has promoted Deborah Hughes from senior editor to VP, senior editor; Christopher Naccari from managing editor to VP, managing editor; and John Spano from controller to CFO.
