Genzyme announced the election of Robert J. Bertolini to its board of directors. Bertolini was EVP and CFO at Schering-Plough until its merger with Merck. Genzyme's board previously consisted of eight members, but expands to nine with Bertolini.

Procter & Gamble appointed Angela Braly, president and CEO of WellPoint, to its board. Braly is an “experienced business leader in the critical health sector,” commented A. G. Lafley, P&G chairman of the board. While P&G sold its global branded pharmaceuticals unit to Warner Chilcott last year for $3.1 billion, the CPG giant maintains Prilosec OTC, Pepto-Bismol and Vicks, among other Health + Wellness brands.
Publicis Strategic Solutions Group named Susan Johnson VP client services for Publicis Selling Solutions, Arista Marketing Associates and Pharmagistics. Johnson, who was previously senior director of business development for Publicis Selling Solutions, will serve as a client contact across Publicis Strategic Solutions Group companies and will report to COO Laura Lynner.
