Novartis has named Andre Wyss to replace Ludwig Hantson as head of pharma for North America, The Wall Street Journal reported. Wyss was previously head of Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa at Novartis. Hantson left to lead specialty biopharma Baxter International. Novartis also told the Journal it is cutting 20% of its US headquarters staff, or 383 jobs, for a cost-savings of $56 million a year.
