Sanofi Pasteur named Chad Hoover VP, chief commercial officer for Sanofi Pasteur US, with responsibility for day-to-day management of commercial operations for the US vaccines business. Hoover was most recently VP marketing and sales for the US, where he is credited with driving sales growth and launching key products. He has been with the company for 17 years.

Former congressman and PhRMA CEO Billy Tauzin joined the board of PBM CaptureRx and will serve as the company's chief industry relations officer. Tauzin pushed through the Medicare prescription drug benefit as a Congressional chieftain and led PhRMA's negotiations with the White House on healthcare reform last year, leaving the trade group after five and a half years at its helm.
